| I am trying to get a HP Deskjet D1320 to work on my system I have gotten

| foomatic-rip failed. Any ideas on what's going on here? Oh it's a USB

What to say?
Since you have a HP printer, you may be interested in the hplip package.
I needed this one otherwise my prints were about 2 lines of unreadable
letters on a whole bunch of sheets.
And there is a good printing guide on www.gentoo.org Look it up.

cheers,
