Oracle's online documentation...its documentation on cocepts and
performance tuning at least.

then :
1. Expert one on one by Tom Kyte
2. Effective oracle by design by him
3. Practical oracle 8i by Jonathan Lewis
4 Optimizing oracle performance by Carry Milsap.
