| Hi, I've installed Debian on a Sparc Ultra 10. It seems to work just fine, except that the consoles tty[1..6] go black after a while. They all go at the same time and I can't seem to get them back without a reboot. It happens after about ten minutes of idle time, so it seems that the consoles go to sleep, but don't want to wake up any more. Does anyone know how to fix this? Regards, Miel. -- Don't mail me at 2devnull, try my name at osgiliath in the Netherlands. |

Pressing a key should bring the consoles back, but I've never used Linux on anything but i386. Maybe there is something odd about your video adapter or monitor. (Does the monitor's power light blink, change color or go off?) setterm -blank 0 -powersave off -powerdown 0 -- No transfers issued until the bus comes to a complete stop. |
