Default control-g stopped working on lenny

control-g stopped working in a terminal emulator (roxterm).
It is ignored both in emacs and nano.

I am running testing.

looks like this is a roxterm specific problem. control-g works
on gnome-terminal.

It was my stupid mistake.

Apparently I had assigned control+g shortcut to the edit->copy menu
and forgot about it
Now I know why nobody else was talking about this grave bug.
