| I have Firefox 2.0 installed using a script which someone suggested. On dapper drake. I can now access Firefox 2 from the Icon on the top start bar. However, my problem is everytime the system wants to update, it wants to revert to 1.5. How do I get rid of this? My possible solution was that I was thinking of changing all the repos in the sources.list file to edgy fiesty I think. This would allow me access to version 2.0 in the edgy repo's. Also I would get all the latest edgy updates. Or is this a really bad idea? If so how do I stop the software update stop trying to update 2.0.0.1 to 1.5? Or downgrade as it were. Thanks. |

Editing sources.list doesn't seem to be the recommended way to do a system upgrade: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EdgyUpgrades [snip] -- Nik |
