It is not an office pc.
Just a home pc for testing purposes.
But I also keep my mails on it.

Yes... from the new system... do an import with the email client... :')

Seriously though... just copy the email directory to a usb stick, cdrw or
dvdrw and take it to the new system. Then... using the email tools in the
new system, perform an import operation.

I've done this alot, works perfectly.

Don't bother with Dan C. He is just your unfriendly Slackware linux
neighbour luser who feels superior with his attitude of beeing mostly
unhelpfull in a Debian news group.
And this is not a basing against Slackware, as it is most usefull for
it's purpuses. I think it's a fine system, but just not for
everyone...
