Default less & waiting for data

Hi Group,

since a few days I get while executing the less command after jump to the
end of the file (shift+g) a message like "waiting for data... interrupt to
abort" and nothing happens. First I thought that this is a network problem,
because I logged on to the server with a remote (ssh) session. Then I
opened another terminal an killed the less process...

Today I had the same symptom in a local terminal on this server, after a
jump to the end of the file (shift+g). The files I tryed to open are only a
few KBs in size, for example a normal hosts.allow file.

Is there anybody, who can give me a hint, where I should search for this
error?

Bye Tom
