| hi! iv been having trouble with my repositories. oh by the way, im using ubuntu hoary. i was using the direct ubuntu archive as the source for my repositories, however, they stopped working so someone suggested i use an australian ftp mirror but id have to disable the ftp passive transfer...? im soooo confused. I got it to work once but nothing now. What repository source is working? All help is greatly appreciated Oh yes, one more question - would it be advisable to upgrade to Breezy and just start all over again? Thank you again |

It might have been down temporarily, or your ISP might have had a routing problem. You can use more than one mirror in your sources.list, it will only cause updates to be a little slower. You can order a CD and upgrade to Breezy, but if you can't connect to the repository you won't get security updates. -- When a fly lands on the ceiling, does it do a half roll or a half loop? |
