A knoppix CD is also ideal for rescueing your system: with fdisk, spart, parted, fschk etc.. tools in it plus DHCP client for accessing the network. |

Probably there will be errors concerning modules, because it will boot using the kernel on the CD, but it will at least boot. |

Thanks for your reply! Well, the problem is that I installed from woody, and upgraded from kernel 2.2.20 to 2.4.16. Also I switched from ext2 to ext3. Now the original CD, nor my rescue floppy supports ext3. I can't mount my HD then. Mike. |
