I use feh the most, mostly for viewing backgrounds and making them the active wallpaper in fluxbox. I add this to my .xsession file: # Use feh to load the last wallpaper you set as root background using # feh eval `cat $HOME/.fehbg` & One neat thing about feh is File/Background/Set Seamless for making any picture into a seamless tiled background. gqview looks nice. -- Tux rox! |

Too be honest: Irfanview is the only one that has everything. Easy keyboard Shortcuts, many necessary functions, sufficient Exif informatons, genious concept, it is fast and shows pictures best. But it only works in Windows. I'm sad that threre's nothing similar in Linux and I'm not the man to build it for Linux. So I use Kuickshow to check out my photo folders and jhead to read exif informations. Best regards -- Dirk Hartmann Remove _nospam from my mail adress because of spam protection |

Hmm, first impression looks good. Second impression: yes, I guess I could like it. Gwenview will be my standard editor. And the shortkeys I can fit for my needs. Thanks for the hint. For some reason gwenview renders images quite slowly on my desktop. So I'll stick with gthumb which is much more snappy. ---<(kaimartin)>--- -- Kai-Martin Knaak http://lilalaser.de/blog |
