| Hi Helpers! A'm sorry - nobody answers and i need help! I found now out: Replacing the e3H modul under /etc/conf/mod.d with the one which was not from a ptf, which one which is on an unpached UW213 installation will work. What i did: The boot disk is a removable/changeable device, so i did a quick UW213 installation in a other disk, inserted it in the same HW and this works! Than i copied the /etc/conf/mod.d/e3H from this disk to my old UW213 and replaced there the e3H, rebootet and it worked! After this i found an old SLS-cd with the ptf4018a.Z, installed this ptf and just get the old problem. So i think all the ptf4018[abc] (b i don't have, perhaps anybody can mail it me) will not work with the 3C900-combo, the original from then os-installation will! Macabre! Can anybody give me a help, does anyone use 3c900-combo with one of this ptfs? Thanks a lot! Cheers Peter First i wish all a Happy New Year, and a lot of thanks to all they me helped in the past :-)) Now, the new year offers new/old problems again :-( I got a 3c900-combo for pci and was very happy about it, need it in an older installation of BNC-cabling. ON UW213 i installed ptf4018c, the NIC is detected and under niccfg i installed it and used configure to set the TCP/IP address. When the system boots it shows 'e3H: error in programing board 0' and i can't access it. Dualboot on the box with Win98 works ok. I can't find any tool to configure the 3c900 in the dos-mode. Thanks for help! Peter |
