Default Can I download Sco Openserver 5.x - 30 day trial image anywhere ??

I support Sco Openserver during field work and need an image I can
install and play with on an IDE drive. All the images that I have are
taken from SCSI drives and no use to me as I haven't got a SCSI drive

A 30 day trial version is all I need just to help me get a feel for
the OS and SCOadmin etc...

Thanks

PS I have broadband and would be able to download a couple of ISO
images no problem

It used to be available from the Sco website until it was withdrawn

Not correct. There used to be free personal-use-only licenses for OSR 5,
but the CD images were never available for downloading.

text taken from http://www.aplawrence.com/Unixart/inst505.html

<start of text>
Open Server 5.0.5

My first install of OSR5.0.5 was at the end of September (1998) for a
customer upgrading from a Xenix system.
<end of text>

Looks to me like OSR5 means OpenServer Release 5 ?? and I'm sure I
seen the iso images myself on the Caldera FTP site or one of the
mirrors

OSR 5 means any OpenServer Release 5.0.0, 5.0.2, 5.0.4, 5.0.5, 5.0.6, or
5.0.7.

I'm getting a bit tired of repeating myself, but: ISO images were NEVER on
any Caldera site for any one of those releases.

Yep, OSR5 = SCO Openserver 5.0.x.

I don't know where you were looking, but I have _never_ seen an ISO of
OSR5 on SCO/Caldera's FTP sites or web-piles.

Well I have seen an ISO image of Openserver 5.x
whilst browsing the FTP site and the mirror sites directory by
directory.
Exactly where it was I can't remember but I would say I didn't get to
it whilst looking for OSR5 I was looking for FreeBSD at the time
Obviously it's not there now and I can't prove it, I didn't download
at the time because I only had a 56k modem.

I know what I saw!

Your not repeating yourself your second statement is totally different
from your first statement

and

>ISO images were NEVER on
>any Caldera site for any one of those releases.

are two different statements
