Hi,

After some problems i try to reload my Sco Openserver 5.0.5 from emergency
boot and root disks because of error message : 'NO OS'.
So i try to fixe the 'masterboot ' problem with this command at boot :
'hd(40)unix' as it's described in the manual., but it doesn't work.
What can i try to do?
(SCSI hard disk).

'hd(40)unix' is not a command.

And what masterboot problem do you think you have?

I think hd has lost the MBR because i have 'NO OS' error message. So i try
to re-create it with dparam -w command but i can't.

dparam does nothing about the masterboot. What did you do for
masterboot?

dparam -w does, in fact, write /etc/masterboot to the MBR of /dev/hd00.
