Default LCD Monitor Help

I attempted to replace an old Viewsonic 20" CRT Monitor with a new
Viewsonic 19" LCD Monitor. The problem is when the grapical interface
starts the last thing on the display is 85Hz out of range. I believe
that 75Hz is the maximum freq. for this LCD display. The resolution is
1280x1024 with 16 colors. What I don't know how to do is change the
frequency, only the resolution.

Thanks for any helpful advice!
