Hello,

I have managed to compile successfuly the above mentioned programs on
SCO OpenServer 5.0.5 system. If somebody is interested in them, please
visit http://mozilla.ecok.edu or ftp://mozilla.ecok.edu/mozilla. You
will find there thunderbird 0.8/0.9 too and some hints on using linux
version of Acrobat Reader 5.0.8 os OSR5. Plus some extras...

Thanks for the work. I have not tested it much yet but Firefox seems to come
up and run under KDE in OSR5.0.6a fully patched, even to web sites that
reject or do not display well with Netscape.

Thank you. I've tried to compile previous versions & given up, but this
is workig well.

KDE Version 1.1.2, it was a release from SCO a few years ago.

I opened up this archive, and it dumped everything into a directory
called ../mozilla. I ran mozilla/mozilla, and it complained:
dynamic linker : ./mozilla-bin : could not open libgtk-1.2.so0

Please package your stuff a bit more sanely...

It can't be packaged "more sanely" in my opinion. Why do I have to
package general purpose libraries with mozilla? Have you read the
beginning of the page on http://mozilla.ecok.edu/:

"First of all you will need several libraries to be able to run mozilla
programs: glib/gtk+ 1.2.10, libiconv-1.8, gettext-0.11.5 and
freetype-9.5.3 (...)"

Would you mind installing gwxlibs-1.3.3Db and re-compiling, using those
libraries? Then your binaries would more easily be used on 5.0.6 and
5.0.7.

No, I'm sorry, currently I'm not planning this.
