Are you talking about Xenix, 5.25" diskettes? -- Ygnacio Moreno. Remove 'TheObvious' from email to respond. |

No, I'm talking about SCO UNIX System V/386 Release 3.2.0 I wouldn't mind having a copy of Xenix/386, but that's not the OS for which I have a license. Doc Shipley |

I appreciate the offer, but I'm pretty sure they won't work with my Bx and Xx disks, and I'm almost positive that my license keys won't work with 3.2.4. If they will work, I'd be very glad to have them. If you have the means to make dd images of the 5.25" disks and can email them to me, my address is doc -at- mdrconsult -dot- com. Worst case, I'll spend a half-hour finding out they won't work. Maybe somebody more familiar with the licensing can answer whether a key for 3.2.0 will apply to version 3.2.4. Doc |

I'm not too sure about the licensing, but I can guarantee you that you will not be able to install from a combination of 3.2v4 M1/N1/N2 + 3.2.0 rest-of-set. Among other things, M1 contains an index of where to find all the files (which disk for which file). Between those two releases, files not only moved around, but 3.2v4 has many additions. The install would fail pretty much the instant you fed it any 3.2.0 disk. The install was so media-specific, you need to state whether your 3.2.0 set is "GT" or "MC" and whether it's 3.5" or 5.25" images. Also, I'm not 100% sure, but pretty sure that the _license_ is also media-specific. So you can't even get out of it by requesting anyone's 3.2.0 image set: it _must_ be the right choice of that 2x2 matrix. >Bela< |

I checked the above link, used google to look for links for SLS/unx365b.n196.Z and found Google cache listing: www.funet.fi/index/Caldera/.mirror.log - 101k - Supplemental Result - Cached - Similar pages And tried ftp://funnet.fi and found no folder for Caldera or SCO. Although the ftp log says that they are getting files from ftp.caldera.com, the log shows them unlinking the files after they get them??? Otherwise a very interesting site. However, going to ftp://ftp.caldera.com/pub/SLS/ I see unx365b.n196.z So you may just need to update your links and change "stage" to "ftp". > > -- > Tony Lawrence > Unix/Linux/Mac OS X resources: http://aplawrence.com > Geek Yard Sale: http://geekyardsale.com -- Steve Fabac S.M.
