| I notice that if my lan cable is unplugged, a message "NIC link is Down" is written on my syslog. I would like to find out how this message being generated. I am trying to write a program to check if the cable is unplugged, but I don't want to read the syslot file to get the info. Is there a system call that generate this message? Thanks. EC |
