| Hello All, We have been running OSR507 with MP3, UP3 and Pacific Code Works TuneUp product without problems. When we attempted to install maintenance pack 4 we're getting the following undefined symbols. --- Root for this system build is / undefined first referenced symbol in file aio_getbuf /var/opt/K/SCO/link/1.1.1Hw/etc/conf/pack.d/ bs_doarg /var/opt/K/SCO/link/1.1.1Hw/etc/conf/pack.d/ newproc1 /var/opt/K/SCO/link/1.1.1Hw/etc/conf/pack.d/ getblkh /var/opt/K/SCO/link/1.1.1Hw/etc/conf/pack.d/ bwritem_bio /var/opt/K/SCO/link/1.1.1Hw/etc/conf/pack.d/ i386ld fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to unix ERROR: Can not link-edit unix idbuild: idmkunix had errors. System build failed. --- We know it has to do with the TuneUp product and have already sent a support request to them, but I wanted to see if anyone else has seen this problem or possibly knows how I could correct it. Thanks, John. |

FYI to anyone else out there with this problem, this was the reply from Pacific Codeworks. --- We became aware of this issue recently, and we are working on a fix. I think that a fix for the issue is 8 to 12 weeks out. --- If anyone is aware of a work around other than removing MP4 or TuneUp it'd be really great. John. |

The error message you posted is incomplete, which makes it hard to offer any advice. In the table, the "undefined symbol" column is OK, but the "first referenced in file" column is missing the end of each filename. Can you go back and post a corrected version? >Bela< |

That's exactly the thing I mentioned here a few days ago when I told someone to install MP4 but to be on the lookout for problems and gave TuneUp & not being able to build kernels as an example.
