| Well, another of Darl's minions has been spreading the FUD good and thick over in Spain it seems. This quote is a classic! From Groklaw: http://www.groklaw.net/ START QUOTE:--- "Gregory G. Blepp said to EFE that SCO is not going to go against home users or educational use, only against large companies and institutions that are getting benefits from Linux without paying. It added that, with these actions, SCO isn't trying to attack open source code, only to defend its rights and that, in fact, it contributes to Linux projects like Apache and Samba. He figures that currently there are in the world between 2.5 and 3 million users of Linux who need to pay SCO for a license." END QUOTE:--- SCO "contribute" to Samba and Apache?!!! Contribute what exactly? Hostility?! How can this scum continue to evade the law by spreading obvious lies in public in a desperate attempt to pump up their freefalling stock price for a little longer? Then there's the latest leak about Microsoft's payrolling SCOG management to create this mess in the first place... I'll be interested to see how that one pays out. So Brian (K. White), are you still "proud" to be pushing SCOG products on your victimsH^H^H^H^H^H^H^customers? Seems to me that being a SCOG customer is an all round losing proposition - pay a ludicrous price for an outdated product, then wait for the vendor to slap you about with a lawsuit as well! I'm a little skeptical about Brian's claims to be pulling in new marksH^H^H^H^H^clients every day - surely even the most clueless businesses can smell the rotting stench of the SCOG corpse by now... -- FyRE < "War: The way Americans learn geography" > |
