| I down loaded gnupg-1.2.1.SCOv5.0.4.tgz from http://gnupg.unixsecurity.com.br/sco.html I appears from the following description on the website that it needs EGD to work on my system: > Compiled with Gnu GCC tools v. 2.92 and Gnu Make. > > GnuPG for OpenServer (5.0.x) and UnixWare (7.x). But, some GnuPG 1.0.x > for UnixWare was compiled with EGD Entropy Gathering Daemon. From the FAQ in /usr/local/share I see the following > On other systems, the Entropy Gathering Daemon (EGD) is a good choice. > It is a perl-daemon that monitors system activity and hashes it into > random data. See the download page <http://www.gnupg.org/download.html> > to obtain EGD. Use: > > --enable-static-rnd=egd Since I running openSSH compiled agents prngd: PRNGD - Pseudo Random Number Generator Daemon (ver 0.9.23 on my system I would like to avoid installing EGD and have the compiled version of Gnu PG obtain its information from Prgnd instead. I am totally unfamiliar with PGP or Gnu PG and am investigating Gnu PG for use on my client's system. So if you have any suggestions, you must be specific with step by step instructions on how to proceed. Any and all help appreciated. -- Steve Fabac S.M. Fabac & Associates 816/765-1670 |
