| hi all, running sco os5.0.6. on a gateway dual pentium pro at 1ghz with 2gb ram. i have been getting the 2 following messages multiple times on the console for several days now: Thu Apr 7 10:43:04 2005 WARNING: u_trap - Unexpected INT 1 in user mode, dr6=0xFFFF0ff0 Thu Apr 7 11:27:29 2005 CPU2: WARNING: u_trap - Unexpected INT 1 in user mode, dr6=0xFFFF0FF0 if i do a "man messages" i get the following definition: An unexpected debugger single step request was received in user mode can anyone shed a little more light on what the heck that means and what i need to do to correct the problem if that is a problem. this system has been running very stable for almost 4 years. as part of a routine maintenance program, i do a shutdown and reboot each monday morning, but other than that it just runs. our primary software program is a cobol database application. the last update to the application was in october. since this has only started in the last month or so, and i haven't made any changes to my system, i don't think it is something i may have done. i have checked the running processes and nothing seems abnormal. no large amounts of time being used by any single process. i am not aware of any debugging going on on my system. i certainly have not been running any programs that i would need to debug. any help greatly appreciated TIA |
