| Hi, My DMESG is appended below. It's from a Sony VAIO laptop where the floppy is on sd0, connected by a USB. From dmesg, it seems the scsi_cb interface is not there, and two devices are lacking interrupts: uhci2 and cbb1. The i386 ISO .fs file generates the same error. floppyC34.fs if I remember right does the same. The others floppy34[?].fs didn't even care, (by design), but they all booted, so I was able to upgrade from 3.2 to 3.4. Question is, with this seemingly broken 3.4 sd0 floppy, should I proceed with 3.4 upgrade? The's a bunch of ports to recompile/upgrade. Are there other gotchas that make it not worth the trouble? PS: As it is, it was already a bother. Problem arose with the NTBootselector, since the old openbsd.pbr was generating a Magic error. So the trick was how to get my /dev/wd0 34.PBR out of the system with just the boot kernels which do not provide devices for both source and destination (floppy), at the same time..... After 2 days of stand-alone failures, the network saved the day. I've been avoiding -current, but I am paying for it in this instance. When would a good time to try that, around Feb/Mar? As an aside, I now see with ELF mozilla is no more broken. Good Job! MK |
