| Just a note, I couldn't reply to Bas Keur's post, google is having problems, "Unable to retrieve message 41f7a700$0$16836$e4fe514c@news.xs4all.nl" > [root@cyanide]# config -o /test -e /bsd > OpenBSD 3.5-stable (BitchSlap) #0: Sat Jan 15 13:35:16 CET 2005 > root@cyanide.xs4all.nl:/opt/BitchSlap > Enter 'help' for information > ukc> change atapiscsi > 33 atapiscsi* at wdc0|wdc1|wdc*|wdc*|pciide* channel -1 flags 0x0 > change [n] y > channel [-1] ? > flags [0] ? 0x0bcc > 33 atapiscsi* changed > 33 atapiscsi* at wdc0|wdc1|wdc*|wdc*|pciide* channel -1 flags 0xbcc > ukc> quit > Saving modified kernel. No, this doesn't work unfortunately, I've tried it many times: $ config -o /test -e /bsd OpenBSD 3.6 (GENERIC) #136: Fri Sep 17 12:28:10 MDT 2004 deraadt@amd64.openbsd.org:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC Enter 'help' for information ukc> change atapiscsi 33 atapiscsi* at pciide* channel -1 flags 0x0 change [n] y Not enough space to change device. ukc> quit Saving modified kernel. I just can't seem to change my devices to matter what I try. After the failure above I also tried it a couple more times on /test and /bsd, but neither worked. > Might be usefull to debug... > [root@cyanide]# grep -ril "Not enough space to change device" /usr/src > /usr/src/usr.sbin/config/ukcutil.c Yes I noticed that, but I'm new to OpenBSD, and am a Java programmer, never the less, I shall take a look and see if I can work something out. Thanks for the suggestions. Dr Wolfgang, T. |
