| In trying to boot a new install for OpenBSD-4.2, Iam getting the following message, then the system stops, -------------------------- Loading... probing: pc0 com0 com1 apm mem[639k 126M a20=on] disk: fd0 hd0+* hd1+ hd2* >> OpenBSD/i386 BOOT 3.01 open(hd2a:/etc/boot.conf): Invalid argument boot> booting hd2a:/bsd: open hd2a:/bsd: Invalid argument failed(22). will try /bsd boot> booting hd2a:/bsd: open hd2a:/bsd: Invalid argument failed(22). will try /bsd Turning timeout off. boot> -------------------------- The box has 3 disks: wd0, wd1 and wd2 and is using GRUB to boot several OSs. The OBSD-4.2 in question is installed in wd2, partition #1. There is another OSBD-4.0 in wd1, partition #3, which is booting and working normally. The above message makes reference to "/etc/boot.conf", a file which doesn't exist, even in another OSBD-4.2 installed and working normally in another box. Any hint or help in the right direction will be appreciated, -- Julio |
