Well, if it were legal, they'd be on openbsd.org, methinks. IANAL, but I think you'll find this is not allowed - after all, people who get their java directly from you can do so without agreeing to Sun's conditions, and forcing people to do that seems to be the whole point of the exercise. Read the license. It's been awhile since I did this, but I recall that you can compile Java for your personal, but cannot share it with anyone. There is some specific wording about Java on non-reference platforms. Basically, you have to get permission from Sun before making a new platform available. |
