| Hi I just ran into a pretty annoying problem today and I couldn't find a way to change the following behaviour. Under a NIS Lan, when the NIS server goes down, no one can login into the NIS client boxes anymore... even local accounts like root (only users are exported with NIS) The only messages I get are about ypbind timing out trying to reach the NIS server. Is there a way to tell the system that when the NIS server is down it should at least leave local users the possibility to login ? Thanks in advance. Regards, Antoine |
