| -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I have been running FreeBSD for years on my AlphaStation 255, but support and enhancements was slowly fading with time. The last two major releases would not boot a Generic kernel because too many non essential devices were included in the base release. The last release that would work went EOL recently. I tried the bootdisk for OpenBSD 4.1 and was able to complete a 'net' install without any problems. Since there wasn't a CD set that included the Alpha processor, I purchased the i386, amd64, macpc, etc. one to support the OpenBSD project. Thanks to the Alpha development team, I am able to return my AlphaStation 255 to the frontlines again.
