 Problem with dansguarian+antivirus The setup: OpenBSD 3.4 with redhat_base-8.0p2 DansGuardian-2.6.1 DansGuardian-2.6.1-3-AntiVirus-3.1 DansGuardian-Virus-Scripts-1.05 uvscan - Virus Scan for Linux v4.16.0 The problem: When enabling virusscanning, pages dont load. dansguarian access.log no entrys. indeed I get entrys in squid access.log Virusscanner does nog get invoked. Disabling virusscaning and pages load fine. What could be wrong? Also tried with clamav-0.80rc3 compiled from unoffical port, same problem.      |

Dansguardian sucks. I could never have it working for more than 10 minutes before it crashed the whole box under heavy load. With propolice it would crash before it could start because of stack over/underflows. I have no indication it will run better (ie without overflows) on linux. Do you know of an application with simmilar capabilities? I need content filtering with virus scanning in the manner dansguarian does the job. Except I noticed dansguarian virusscanns the same url everytime I access it, unneccesery overhead... So what about alternatives? |
