| My laptop worked fine at 4.2. I tried several snapshots of -current and all had the problem: Poor network performance and a sluggish system. Iostat showed 65% interrupts. The log shows re0: watchdog timeout every 10 minutes. The 4.3 beta snapshot works better than earlier snapshots, but is still showing these symptoms. Are there any ideas re: cause or solution? |

Tried disable acpi ? Where were you when we repeatedly asked for testers ? whatever this is, this won't be fixed for 4.3, it's WAYS TOO LATE for that. |

We must like all the bugs. There's more to love that way. |

Sorry : I did send a dmesg to dmesg@openbsd.org in Dec but the performance was too poor - dhcp couldn't even pick up an address so I didn't pursue it then. Re: disable acpi : I now see better network performance , and interrupts are < 3 so thanks. That was the trick. Thank you. |

That was the trick. Thank you. You really, really want to work with developpers after 4.3. The interrupt storms are a big concern wrt acpi, and if you ask, you'll probably get lots of diffs to test, with improvements. If you don't, well, at some point, your machine may stop working all that well. Who knows ? |
