| Hello -- I'm suffering the infamous "xauth problem" when trying to startx for the first time as a normal user (root does fine). When a user executes /usr/X11R6/bin/startx, and error message spits out, saying "XAUTH: NOT FOUND". Now, what does /that/ mean? It has been suggested here and there, on lists, that the user add /usr/X11R6/bin to his/her $PATH. However, I find that I cannot do it, for whatever reason. I should also say that I'm using the Korn shell. I also find it intriguing that the suggested path is by default set in /etc/login.conf As I am fairly new to this OpenBSD thing (which I'm beginning to love), I would appreciate some explanation. My setup is practically a "virgin", with very little tweaking, except that I'm using 3.5 still (will upgrade soon). Any ideas? Thanks in advance, best regards, Henry |
