Sure, you can move files around, provided that the two machines
are running the same version. Before moving the new kernel to
/ on the destination machine, move the original to something
like bsd.last so you can revert back if you need to. Do remember
to reboot. I forgot that once and was puzzled why my new kernel
wasn't working...
