FYI. For those contemplating installing Wireshark, the 0.99.2 snapshot currently available on http://www.wireshark.org/download.html does not build on 3.9. There has been recent discussion on wireshark-dev@ about this, and the latest SVN source appears to correct the problem(s):

The list of packages & build sequence described at the following page are still correct as I have successfully built what becomes Wireshark 0.99.3 from the latest SVN source this weekend.
