Default umass device fails on macppc, ok on i386

A umass device fails to get recognised through a self powered USB hub on
macppc. Device works fine on i386. Other USB devices, including other
umass devices, get recognised through the same self powered USB hub on
macppc.

The failed umass device is a 1GB iPod shuffle. When plugged into the
Cypress Semiconductor USB2 Hub, on macppc, no umass? gets recognised at
all, on it's own or with other devices, yet others devices appear fine.
Connecting the iPod shuffle, through the hub, on i386 works fine. The
iPod shuffle gets recognised when attached directly to the hardware of
macppc or i386.
