| I have recently installed OpenBSD 3.8 from the official CDs. The Flash drive that worked perfectly in OpenBSD 3.6 and OpenBSD 3.7 now misbehaves. umass0 at uhub4 port 7 configuration 1 interface 0 umass0: LEXAR MEDIA JUMPDRIVE PRO, rev 2.00/1.00, addr 2 umass0: using SCSI over Bulk-Only scsibus1 at umass0: 2 targets sd0 at scsibus1 targ 1 lun 0: <LEXAR, JUMPDRIVE PRO, 1000> SCSI0 0/direct removable umass0: BBB reset failed, IOERROR umass0: BBB bulk-in clear stall failed, IOERROR umass0: BBB bulk-out clear stall failed, IOERROR ... the three BBB lines are repeated _many_ times ... sd0: 247MB, 247 cyl, 64 head, 32 sec, 512 bytes/sec, 506880 sec total umass0: at uhub4 port 7 (addr 2) disconnected sd0 detached scsibus1 detached umass0 detached I tried searching in archives and browsing the source code changes for anything relevant, but being no expert for umass(4) I couldn't find the possible reason, and the Google returns the messages related to FreeBSD mostly from 2001-2003 similar to this problem. Can anybody give me a hint of what's going on, and which source change could trigger this failure. dmesg is attached. You can see the full output when a Flash drive is attached at the bottom. Any pointers are appreciated. Best regards, Zvezdan Petkovic |
