| Hello, I'm not able to do a cdrom installation on a 44P-170 I switched the boot order to cdrom and did a reboot. System halts with message "0c31" and screen shows something like ------------------ boot image timestamp: xxxxxx Current time and date: xxxxxx number of processors: xxxx size of memory: xxxxx boot device: /pci@fef00000/scsi@c/sd@1:\ppc\chrp\bootfile.exe closing stdin and stdout ... --------------------------- Any help is appreciated uwe |

| I had the same problem yesterday with my 44P-170, tu update to AIX 5.1. My return code was 0xc45 and 0xc31... You have to upgrade you CD-ROM firmware (if you have a 32x or 40x....
