| Hi, My company has ADSM 3.1 server and client installed in an AIX 4.3.3 box, and ADSM 3.1 client installed on a Windows NT 4.0. The AIX server has an IBM 7332 DDS3 tape drive attached. Now, my boss want to upgrade the tape drive to 7332 DDS4 to speed up the backup. [I know all the stuff is de-supported My question is: Is it possible to simply replace the tape drive/ device class from DDS3 to DDS4 on ADSM 3.1 without upgrading to TSM? If yes/ no, any guideline on how to do it? Please provide instructions or link to other reference materials as I'm a newbie to either ADSM or TSM. Thanks in advance. Regards, Herman |
