Default aix 3.2.5 Mksysb Multi-Tape Failure

was attempting to backup a long overdue system via 8mm tape and hit a
failure at end of first tape (should take about 4)


is there an option I did not set

Is there a reason you are not using backup for everything except the
system? I use mksysb for the system partition and then backup for the
application and data. Backup has no problems using multiple tapes.

AIX 3.2.5 did the system image backup in tar format.
