 AIX 5.3 and Gnome 2.14 Hi, I have installed Gnome 2.14 from http://gnome.bullfreeware.com/new/ on top of AIX 5.3L (machine is 44p-170 with 768mb ram and GXT3000). Problem is that when I change session to Gnome on login Gnome starts(I see Gnome 2.14 splash screen) After this machine hangs there is a lot of hd activity and within few minutes I get thrown back to login screen. Anyone encountered same kind of probs? Any ideas where to start looking problem from? Tero Kaarlela Finland      |

| Re: AIX 5.3 and Gnome 2.14 from .xerrors I see that problem is that Cairo doesnt support 8bpp color depth. But where can I change to truecolor in AIX/CDE ?
