| Hi, WIth recent releases there has been an increased push for AIX on i series. I have been using AIX on p Series for past 5 years and am extremely happy with it. Moving forward however we are looking to consolidate everything on i series. Can some body let me know if there are any drawbacks of running AIX on i series compared to p series? IF there is any material availabe out there please send it to me. TIA, Asheesh |

Go to www.redbooks.ibm.com and search? Asking people to *send* you *any* info. is a bit selfish, wouldn't you say? -- Regards, Tim Clarke (a.k.a. WBST) |

It's the same hardware (essentially), so the only distinction about having an AIX LPAR on a p5, rather than an i5 server is cost, and from what I understand, anything in the p world will be a lot cheaper than the i world. You can confirm the pricings with IBM. |
