| Ok from what I have read in this group one should be able to purchase an AIX 5L v5.2 media kit from IBM for $50 ish. So I have one question .... How? I have spent the last 8 days beating my head against a wall trying to get a box transfered over to my name. It has now been done. Now I am being told I cannot purchase a media kit without first purchasing a software maintaince contract. At IBM the right hand has no idea what the left hand is saying. When I first began the transfer process I was told once the transfer was complete I would be able to download media images of 5.2 for free. Then told yes that is true if I had a software contract. I have a 43p/150 worth at best $200 why would I pay more than $1k for a contract I do not want ... sigh Any pointers to the right contact number would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nick |

If you use the buy-it-now option you don't even have to hassle with the bidding. |
