| I have 2 B80's running AIX5.2, each with a disk array(same number of same size disks). One machine has been setup with 2 VG's rootvg and datavg. The datavg contains jfs file systems and raw partitions. I have cloned the OS to the 2nd machine. Is there anyway that I can clone the datavg to the second machine without setting up vg, lv's and fs's on the second system? Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

| Is this an HACMP setup? If so, mirror the all your disks 1 to 1 to the other array, then all you have to do is do an exportvg on system1 and then importvg on system2. If it's not an HACMP setup, then, I'd just setup up the second system by hand like you did the first, it shouldn't take too long. Or, you could still mirror to the second array on system2, exportvg, then probably do a splitvg. I'm sure there are other ways.
