| I need to copy files from a AIX ver 4.1 or 4.1 pc hard drive, on to a windows pc. I have the scsi drive setup on an adapter card, (I believe it's setup right), however Windows98 does not see the drive. Will W\2000\xp work in NTFS, or is there a 'free' utility that I can use accomplish this? What file format is needed to read these files in windows? Will a version of Linux help me achieve this? Thanks in advance, Dale |

Will a version of Linux help me achieve this? Most of what you write is incomprehensible to me. Maybe I'm just stupid, maybe you didn't phrase it carefully enough. The one thing that I think I understand is that you cannot get a Windows 98 PC to recognize a certain hard disk. This sounds like a hardware problem to me. Your original problem seems to be a file transfer. What keeps you from using ftp to accomplish that? Yours, Laurenz Albe |
