| We've had lots of similar problems. It's been long enough since I've messed with it I don't remember a specific fix, but this is what I would do: Run 'addpaths'. If that doesn't do anything, run it a few more times. While this seems odd, it often has to be ran multiple times to get any effect. If that doesn't do it, check your fcs adapter firmware. Update it to the latest, if that doesn't do it, check out your level of SDD. It should be at least at level 1.5.0.0 or higher. To find adapter firmware: https://techsupport.services.ibm.com...d/adapter.html lscfg -vl fcs* Fileset levels: lslpp -l devices.sdd.* lslpp -l *2105* Just make sure if you update SDD filesets that it's compatible with your level of code on your 2105. After doing all this, if it still occurs, I would talk to IBM support. There's likely some rare setting or bug only IBM knows about afflicting you (We've seen this). Hope this helps. puliee wrote: > Dear All > > I am facing an issue regarding SAN ESS, but I am not much familiar > too.. > > OS - 5300-00 > SAN Type - IBM 2105-800 > No of fscsi adapters - two > > Errpt triggered a error, saying that...following and I have got a high > prioriy ticket.. > > 72206E77 0706154205 P H vpath48 REQUESTED OPERATION CANNOT BE > PERFORMED > DCB47997 7006112705 T H hdisk157 DISK OPERATION ERROR > DCB47997 7006112705 T H hdisk157 DISK OPERATION ERROR > DCB47997 7006112705 T H hdisk156 DISK OPERATION ERROR > DCB47997 7006112705 T H hdisk156 DISK OPERATION ERROR > DCB47997 7006112705 T H hdisk155 DISK OPERATION ERROR > DCB47997 7006112705 T H hdisk155 DISK OPERATION ERROR > DCB47997 7006112705 T H hdisk154 DISK OPERATION ERROR > DCB47997 7006112705 T H hdisk154 DISK OPERATION ERROR > > While querying adapters..the following is the output... > > Adpt# Name State Mode Select Errors Paths > Active > 0 fscsi1 NORMAL ACTIVE 505983135 0 98 > 94 > 1 fscsi0 NORMAL ACTIVE 500373761 0 56 > 52 > > Even though it does not shows any errors .. > > but, In first adapter no of paths are 98, but only 94 are active... > In second adapter no of paths are 56, but only 52 are active... > > what could be an issue and how can I stop this error, this error is > keep on comming... > > Please help me in this regard... > > Thanks in advance.. > > Agas |
