 direct IO with Oracle I have a 500GB Oracle 9i run on AIX5.2, the memory utilization is about 100%. After I enable the dio option for the oracle filesystem, the memory utilization drops to 40% only and the disk throughput increase from 1MB/sec to 24MB/sec. Is there any tuning in AIX or Oracle to improve the memory utilization and reduce the disk activities?      |
