| Recently took our 7025-6F1 server off of an EMC Clariion SAN, as this will be used as a test server in another physical location. Because this was SAN attached, it only has 2 internal hard drives. Need suggestions for a reasonably priced way to add about 1.5TB raw space. I will employ some form of RAID, via a controller, or use AIX's mirror capability. Due to our exclusive use of EMC SAN environments, not too familiar with disk alternatives. The server does have a pair of IBM FC 6228 2GB fibre HBA's already installed. It does not have the appropriate cage assemblies for additional internal drives, currently. A 2104 maybe...... lower end FastT...?? I would be looking for used/refurbed that would qualify for IBM maintenance if we decide to go that route. A 14 drive enclosure, of 146GB 10k drives would probably work. Not interested in SSA at this point. Suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance, for your time. |
