You can install and use all software on the OS CDs. In this respect IBM is much more generous than e.g. DEC and their follow-ups. |

I recently did this and there was no keys needed. I got myself a 7044-170 with AIX 5.1 media and did a reinstallation of the OS overwriting the existing system. Everything went great. I don't think any future versions of the OS requires this either. -- Henrik |

On several occasions, it will fail an "installp" if you don't specify that yes M'lud, I accept your bloody license agreement. It's the -Y flag on installp. So my "magic word" has changed from installp -acgXd /data/lppsource filesets to -acgXYd... It's only one letter, but still annoying.
