| Hi Group, We are in the process of setting up a DS6000 and very often we run into this: CMUN02390E mkfbvol: Unable to create volume. Extents are currently being formatted and will be available at a later time. I know it is not an error. It is given to me because the previous volumes have been dropped and their extents are being reformatted before reuse. My question is this: is there a way to figure out what background processes are running and/or how much of the formatting is done? The documentation says reformatting takes 4 hours per TB of space, not very helpful. Also, does anyone know how this reformatting takes place? On a per server basis, on a per LSS basis, or on a per extent pool basis, or other? Thanks. |
