Default External VGs after a mksysb restore

Hi folks,

if a mksysb is restored (to rootvg) (from an internal tape drive), and
the system has other volume groups (external on SSA disks in this
case), when the system reboots (after the mksysb restore) are the
external VGs imported, varied online and the filesystems mounted and
ready for use?

I would think that they should be, since the mksysb has all the
information it needs to do that. But, just checking.

The system is AIX 4.1 on a Micro Channel J30.

Thanks Miles
