This is documented in the service guide for some of the tape drives. |

| Harry was right! you may have to take the cover(s) off the tape drive to extract the tape. However, also try this command: tctl -f /dev/rmt? rewoffl Which will try to rewind the tape before ejecting it. Might make a difference but who knows. Bob |

Many tape drives offers an "emergency exit" if you press the eject button for several seconds. |
