I could not find the latest versions for AIX 5.3 of
* Apache 2.2
* PHP 5.1
from anywhere and not with the right options compiled-in to support the
latest web server features and projects I am working on like Ganglia
performance monitoring for lots of machines and popular Wiki websites
like pmwiki.

So I recompiled Apache and PHP from the latest source code.
In the end this was not too hard once you have the right pre-reqs and
the GNU GCC C compiler v4.

I recorded all the instructions to do this at the AIX 5L Wiki web site
at: http://www-941.ibm.com/collaboration...iPtype/aixopen
